Tent Camping in the trees

This adds a whole new spin to tent camping.  I, for one, can't sleep on the ground anymore.  It's a real pain to constantly have to add air to mattresses that leak all night and you end up on the ground anyway!  This is a whole new concept that I personally would love to try!  Sleeping up in the air, you wouldn't have to worry about rocks, and it would be more like sleeping in a hammock.  I so want to do this.  Kind of spendy for my budget right now, but want to save for this one.

Tentsile is an awesome innovation and if you want to check it out for yourself, just click here.

My Best Banana Bread

My Best Banana Bread Recipe
This was from an old recipe that I received from a friend many years ago. Over the years I have been revising it and making it better.  This is the latest revision that not only made it healthier, but better than ever!

2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
4 Tablespoons buttermilk
1/2 cup applesauce
4 Crushed ripe bananas
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
1 - 2 Tablespoons Raw sugar

Cream butter, and banana's with a spoon.  Add sugar, applesauce, and buttermilk.  Cream some more.  Add eggs, flour, soda & nuts if you like them and mix well.
Pour in a loaf pan that has been sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Take Raw sugar and sprinkle it over the top before baking.  This will make a nice crunchy top.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for one hour or until done.  (test with a knife - when inserted in middle and comes out almost clean it's done)
Removed from pan after 5 minutes out of the oven & let cool on thick towel or cooling rack.  Keep tightly wrapped in foil & refrigerate for freshness.  (Or you can put it back in the pan like I have and put the lid on)

colour in a simple life: Doesn't time fly...................

I love this website and now I feel like I know her even more since we also share the same profession...housekeeping.  I would love to live where she does and be a housekeeper in a castle!  How exciting!  She also crochet's and knits but prefers crocheting, like me, because knitting is slower.
Check out here site and enjoy her free pattern tutorials.

So for the last few months now, my husband and I have been using Fitbit to help us get motivated in exercise.  It is a cool little item that keeps track of your steps and the number of flights of stairs that you do each day. It even tells you how well that you slept though the day! Well, App Sumo is giving 10 away and it is the newest model that actually will sync with your phone!  I am trying to win one but also want to give you all a chance to win one as well.  So, go here and sign up!

Most that know me, know what has been going on the last few years of my life and especially the last 6 months, well, happy days today.  My hubby is moving home!  We are getting along great, talking about many things, and are going to be talking about more things that should have been done before.  Selfishness is gone and each are thinking of the other.  Lots of work, but both are willing to now and we are actually enjoying it!  Also enjoying each other more than ever.  :D  Have an awesome day!
